We had a beautiful day for garden club on Wednesday. We cut up trimmed branches from one of the trees into mulch, trimmed the grass around the beds, painted numbers on the beds and discussed possible ways to discourage squirrels from ransacking the garden. Luckily it looks like they have slowed down their rate of plant theft.
We also thinned out some of the crops that we planted from seed and took home lovely salad greens. They will need to be thinned again as they get larger but this will give them a bit more space for now and if more plants disappear we will still have a full garden.
